About Us

Dinawo, a Cherokee word meaning clothing has been defined by the phrase “The Clothing Makes the Person”. The company has made considerable efforts over the past 20 years defining and developing a market for Aboriginal sportswear. Although fashion trends change frequently, there is one constant within the industry. The fact that the style a particular person chooses, directly reflects that person’s personality, likes, dislikes and attitudes. The reason for choosing a particular brand name or image is very dependent on the image that a person wishes to present. In 1997 the concept of Dinawo was developed — a company dedicated to using fashion to showcase the potential of Aboriginal youth.

The concept is simple. Provide the Aboriginal population of North America with high quality sportswear that stands for something and represents the attitudes of today’s aboriginal youth. The concept is not new to the industry. Dinawo has established their message for Aboriginal youth and have been promoting this message since 1997. The message to the Aboriginal community is this: To inspire all people to believe and achieve…through breaking boundaries.
